The goal of this web site is to be the "one stop shop" for IT Security at NASA.
This site is still under development and is subject to change without notice. If you have suggestions for additions, deletions, or changes, now is the time to have your voice heard. Please contact webmaster@itsecurity.nasa.gov with your suggestions. Include the URL of the page you are making the suggestion for and try to be as specific as possible with your suggestions.
Our audience includes systems administrators (SAs) at all NASA centers and contractor sites that support NASA activities and research. We strive to collect IT security information from the agency and other important sites around the world, and organize it into easily accessible pages.
The main home page presents news items of particular interest to NASA systems administrators. The latest information about vulnerabilities and exploits is provided in daily alerts from the NASA site license for the TruSecure IntelliSHIELD service. The daily IntelliSHIELD alerts will be available in a searchable archive soon. The Documents section will contain the latest Best Practices, How Tos, Policies, and Guidelines. All NASA SAs are expected to achieve security training and certification goals. The Certification section outlines the requirements and opportunities for reaching these goals and advancing beyond them. The Services section provides information about various IT Security projects and services available to agency SAs.
This site is now, and shall always be, in flux. We always value your input and constructive criticism. Feel free to contact the Curators with your suggestions for new content and corrections for errors, typos, and broken links.
